She stands about 5 foot one
A local beauty, with dreams and brawn,
Who does not want to be remembered as a princess or a queen
But, instead as a badass boxer, who is fearless and mean.
For 10 weeks she has religiously trained
With strength, experience and knowledge she has gained,
It now all leads up to tonight
When the bell rings, she will be ready to fight.
But, in that ring she will not be all alone
She'll have the skills that she did hone,
And of course her corner will scream and yell
At the sounding of the ringside bell.
Like all boxers she has complained and cried
But, now she's ready to release that tiger inside,
And tonight she will prove proudly to one and all
That she is a boxer, and she will not fall.
Her boxing shoes are both now laced
Upon her fists the gloves are now placed,
Into the ring she is now prepared to enter
Skill and desire, is now her mentor.
She fiercely pounds her gloves together twice
As she reflects the road here, and the price,
And because of her suffering and all of her pain
Tonight in the Boxing ring, she will reign.
