Limerick: Cubs Win World Series! Poem by Kim Barney

The Chicago Cubs had not won the World Series since 1908. That's 108 years ago!
Their opponents, the Cleveland Indians, have not won it since 1948. With their talent, they are capable of winning it next year (And could have done it this year) .
This was one of the best World Series ever. The Indians won game one in their own park, but then the Cubs won the next game to even the series at one game each. With the next three games in Chicago, all the Cubs had to do was win all their home games, but it didn't happen that way.
The Indians won the next two games in Chicago to take a commanding lead of three games to one. All they had to do was win one more game out of the next three, and they would be the Champions.
The Cubs finally won game five (their only win at home) to force a game six in Cleveland. They won that game also, to force a game seven. Now it's winner of the next game take all.
The Cubs had a 6-3 lead going into the bottom of the eighth inning, but the Indians scored three runs to tie the game 6-6!
The score was still 6-6 after nine innings, and in the top of the tenth the Cubs scored two runs to make it 8-6.
The Indians managed to get one run back in the bottom of the inning, but lost 8-7.
