Loneliness Vs Solitude Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

Loneliness Vs Solitude

Loneliness is a self piteous
Self induced state of affairs
Solitude is on the other hand
A regal beautiful gift you are given
In loneliness you see little
In solitude you witness all
Being lonely eats up vast time
You can ill afford
Being solitary makes time your ally
Don't feel sorry
Don't declare that
Walk into the wilderness
Of whatever you find
And drink of this planets wonders
Sniff the perfume of the earth
And eat the life giving air.
