Lonely Lady Poem by David Harris

Lonely Lady

Rating: 5.0

There is a lady that I know
who has pushed many away
with hurtful comments about them
from time to time.
When tragedy struck her recently
and she needed someone there,
those who could have helped her
were no longer there.
Seeing her walk head bowed
trying to make conversation
to anyone who passed by.
Sadly, they couldn’t trust her
fearing she would turn on them
as she had done many times before.
She stands alone now
abandoned to be on her own
after making many lives a total misery,
pitting friend against friend.
No one can sympathise with her
and no one wants to know.
No new chances given,
they’ve done them too many times before.
She now looks sad and rejected
having throughout her life
pushed many away once too often
and now she stands alone.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

People like this are their own worst enemy. Maybe they need attention and are just sad lonely souls. Your observations are excellent and explained to readers in such a way, they too probably know somebody just like your Lonely Lady. Well done! Karin Anderson Top Marks
