Lonesome Beast Poem by Jean Dament

Lonesome Beast

An iron beast might come running through your town tonight,
Hollering loudly while he winds his way on to new sites,
His whistle echoes & resonates throughout the land;
He's hoping to capture your attention....which is his main plan;
As he's lonely & looking for company along the way,
Mostly this lonesome night train wants you to come on board to stay,
But you don't want to get too near,
Or your life would be in deep peril I fear;
Since getting too close is quite deadly & would cause you much strife;
So you're better off avoiding him & his tracks.....instead it's best to settle for life.
