The youth of yesterday
Filled with so many dreams
And twisted forks in road
Leading to stunned today
The fall's scattering leaves
Blowing in the cold wind
Colourful reminders
The autumn of my life
The winter's bitter frost
Flaring up arthritis
Peaceful warm fireplace
Soothing body and soul
The greenery of spring
Resurrecting dead life
Body and soul refreshing
Awaken spirit within
Lonesome road made of time
Coming close to an end
But life's truest journey
Has only just begun
