Looking Down Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Looking Down

Rating: 5.0

Take me back to distant past,
Filled with precious memories.
Gone like a passing breeze,
Still here in my heart to last.
If only to relive them again,
And as i close my eyes,
I'm only ten.
Walking along the mountain top
with my dear father,
Taking a breath to stop,
to look down upon our valley,
it's beautiful view,
The grass that we stand upon,
glazed with the morning dew.
If only i could have captured that moment,
Save it for another day,
I'd go back to that moment right now.
For that memory is with me to stay.
