Losing Value Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Losing Value

Conditioned to manipulate,
Customs and traditions.
With a breaking to update,
Established rules and laws.
To accommodate what benefits,
A controlling over standards.
Perceived to be chipping away,
From an image to have been depicted...
Worshipped and praised to be obeyed.
By those wishing to keep,
An obvious fading of faked beliefs.
Discovered to be losing,
Value for all to once prioritize.

The structure on this based,
Created has aged dramatically.

And today or tomorrow,
Will have a need to be replaced.
Since delusions to keep them,
Impressive to address...
The strength of them kept.
Eventually erases foundations.
To expect on deception and dishonesty,
A much more diversified citizenship...
Could support and endorse,
False representations.
Without having their participation,
Neither mentioned or given...
The reality and truth of 'this' existence!
