Lost In Time Poem by Sandra Feldman

Lost In Time

Rating: 5.0

I could cry continuously,
Into the night,
And no one would really care,
Or be there
To understand just how it feels.
Life sped right thru,
I looked for you,
I found your trace,
Not your embrace,
And now too late to look some more,
Time's closed of love, the open door.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Indeed, as mentioned in the topic, it’s a poem of despair and disappointment. Usually love blossoms in one’s heart during youth, but one may not see its fruition during life time. After a certain phase of life, love seems to close its doors when one does not feel inclined to even look for it. I am not sure if this is what you have meant. The poem has resonated in me the poet’s disappointment, to which I possibly can relate well. A wonderful poem, it has touched me deep.10/10 for this wonderful poem.
