Lost Lives To Lies Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Lost Lives To Lies

Lost lives to lies.
Living to victimize,
Themselves and others.
Gone are the days of honesty,
Or a trusting in anyone.
Truth once to know it,
Has surgically been removed.
And from minds volunteering,
To have this done.
For the love of money!

For the love of 'things'!
For the love of division.
And isolation thoughtlessness brings.

Lost lives to live lies.
Told without regret or consciousness.
In churches and every establishment.
Infested with this investment of deception.
For the attention to get.
For the impressions to make them.
For social status to obtain.
And souls sold to sell,
Integrity, credibility and identity.
Losing lives to live them too late to save!
