We used to meet to talk and roam
And talk still on the way back home.
A lot had she to say,
Sincerity and honesty all the way
Writ large in her large eyes
As I could well surmise,
An expert speaker,
In me she found a good listener.
One day I thought,
I too have in me a lot,
Let me also my story tell,
And wondered, what deep therein dwells,
What its depth and span,
Gathering courage I began…
I too was small,
‘When', she asked.
‘Way back' in long lost past', I said.
‘Hard to believe', she commented
‘What', I asked,
‘That you were small one day'.
I continued to trace,
I see many a scene,
Many a forgotten face,
Amidst utter loneliness within
I find me standing all alone,
Totally lost, from hills a stone….
And, and I lapsed in silence
At once feeling so tense,
No, there's nothing worth saying,
So empty, notso seems flowing,
As deep as I can peep
And we both fell in silence deep.
And not a word, nor feeling shy,
She picked up a tear from my eye,
And then looking at it
In wonderment a bit,
Said, ‘No, there's a lot to unfurl
Like this precious little pearl'.

An inspiring composition on love and romance has been made by you. The story is much interesting. I like most lines are....As deep as I can peep / And we both fell in silence deep. Gorgeous work.
And I notice in you a great attribute, dear poet KM, even a rather longish poem (in comparison) you are not dissuaded and choose to patiently read it before penning your comments. This is a rare quality. Thanks for the good words about the poem.
