Love Again - Poem by Kathleen Kehoe

Discovering love.
Starting brand new.
You took my heart
when you left
and you gave it back to me
Heaven sent.

My heart still feels empty,
but I know it's there.
I can feel it
when I think of you;
it beats an extra beat
and I feel that warmth come back.

Falling for love again
puts me in fear
and I feel that emptiness.
My heart was yours
and I cannot endure
losing it again.
