Love And Lust, A Urdu Poem By Amjad Islam Amjad In English Translation
O evening, be my witness
When lips smolder under
the sweetness of kisses,
when moon melts in
the warmth of breaths,
when her hidden
treasures restlessly
open under the
softness of hands,
no difference remains
between love and lust.
-surely for the moment -
when bodies talk,
even rivers stop flowing.
I tell no lies.
O evening, be my witness.
