Love Futile Poem by Billy Loving

Love Futile

Rating: 5.0

Love, be not kind
A ship lost in a distant sea
No solace do I find
Looking for someone for me
Feeling of futility grows
Getting older year by year
Frustration and sorrow no one knows
Missing that special one to hold so dear
So lost and alone
She wanders my way
A greeting, but no interest shown
Another fruitless day
To my Lord I faithfully pray
That my bride will soon come my way

I agree with you, love is often unkind. However, nothing is truly futile as long as we have hope. And one can wear a wedding ring and still be lonely I really liked this poem. If you have some time, read some of my poems, I would like your to hear your comments
