Love In All It's Glory! - Poem by Chaitanya Dorwat

I've kept my heart aloof for long,
aloof from love that hurt me once,
It taught me a lesson, but I's never wrong,
my heart aches in despair but never learns.
And now when my heart is numb,
drunk on the nothingness inside of me,
I miss the wait for someone who'd never come,
pain was too loud for silent smiles in memories.
Love is a funny thing, it turns you in a child,
who'd chuckle or cry at almost anything,
it makes you feel alive, it gives you an identity,
wounds may heal, pains you forget,
but nothing fills the void in you,
nothing heals the lonliness,
than love in all its glory.
