Love Is Prayer Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Love Is Prayer

by Freeyad Ibrahim

I do not like prophets, anyway
since that unfortunate ugly day
When Catherine's mother fought with my mother
After I wrote a letter expressing some way
To see her, meet her, by the door
On the way
Our mad mothers quarrelling, not play,
Representing the prophets that furious rainy day
If not for prophets both said the same pray
I haven't seen Catherine since that day
The TWO prophets didn't know,
Stone is not clay
Love, like hunger, has no religion
kafir
atheist,
It prays in one way, in its own way
