Love's False Precedent Poem by Jennah Shuler

Love's False Precedent

Rating: 5.0

I love you with my whole heart
You from my mind will never depart
Even though you don't love me
I think we were still meant to be
I started loving you, then I fell
The way you treated me hurt like hell
My heart was broken beyond repair
Until I met him in the winter air
He loves me more than you ever did
And from the top of my heart you will be rid
I thought I'd love you forever and ever
But I've found someone who has treated me better
Better than you ever did, better than you ever could
And in my heart I knew he would
I'll love him forever; til the world ends
And even after, to my heart's content.
