Lovers Ecstatic As Butterflies Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Lovers Ecstatic As Butterflies

Rating: 5.0

You lead me guru-like through dreams
And hallucinatory visions;
I have a panoramic-movie mind
And a heart emanating the supernatural divine.

I can smell autumn approaching
In the air;
You’ll find me on an avenue strewn with trees,
I’ll be waiting for colorful falling leaves,
I’ll place them at your feet.

And come next year summertime,
We’ll be lovers ecstatic as butterflies.

This has the haunting quality of all beautiful and fleeting things. Time out of mind these words have wings. Take care, Uriah. Sandra
