Lovers Of War: Safe At Home Smiling Poem by Terence George Craddock

Lovers Of War: Safe At Home Smiling

a lot of people seem to love war and hate peace?
a few seem to hate topic peace and peacemakers?
give peace a chance still not vogue in fashion yet?

people who love war are not normally soldiers
fighting in wars getting arms legs blown off
surviving with disfigured faces disfigured souls

no the lovers of war are usually safe at home
usually in other countries loving their profits shares
profits written in blood slain young male lives

some work in weapons factories wonderful jobs
lots of work overtime good wages bonuses
some even make wonderful war weapon toys

butterfly bombs to blow child hand limbs off

how do makers of weapons of war sleep at night?

with wonderful dreams of new possessions to buy
holidays coming beautiful places to stay see visit
but not where their weapons are blowing lives apart

ever wonder how makers of weapons of war
play with their children who still have both hands
when making butterfly bombs blowing child handsoff

wonderful people who love life nature their homes cars pets
Adolf Hitler loved architecture art music nature his dog Blondie
Hitler also cared not who died to sustain his death deadly dreams

why the lovers of war are usually safe at home
usually in other countries loving their profits shares
profits written in blood slain young male lives

or acceptable collateral damage lots of civilian lives

makers of weapons of war why should they care
it is not their country cities homes being being destroyed
it is not their sons fathers brothers or friends dying

Masters of War sat in their palaces luxury hotels
clinking glasses talking around leaden banquet tables
celebrating a wonder few years of exponential growth

all those NATO tanks aircraft weapons systems bullets guns
given away all need replacing orders were rapid flowing in
all wonderfully paid for worldwide by dozens of countries

continued escalation in aggressive armed hostilities
meant more exponential demand for death product profits
plenty of play pay expected in next spring offensive
