Long ago, a love was planted in dust,
A shepherd's heart tied to gentle trust,
Fourteen years turned to tears and toil,
Waiting for the promise resting in soil.
He worked for the dream of her embrace,
Time etched love upon his face,
But life unfolded a different song,
Not all hearts where they long belong.
Children born of a painful design,
Love and sorrow deeply entwined,
A legacy written through strain and grace,
A holy ache time could not erase.
Years passed like wind through desert sand,
Love still held in a trembling hand,
Not all prayers return the way we pray,
But heaven still honors love's delay.
In silence where two hearts once stood,
Echoes remain where the miracle bloomed,
Not every love was meant to stay —
But every love was meant to say:
God saw it all.
God counted it.
God remembered.
This is sad, but real. Everything happens for a reason, maybe the only purpose of that relationship is so that a bright soul like your daughter could exist. And at the very least she came from love. Thanks for sharing! ~
Eleven years has passed since we split Neither of us able to admit our mistakes But we were just a young and misfit Neither of us ready to submit to forever..../// and after eleven years this is from pure loving heart; beautiful feelings on love
