We had our day
Sun kissed
As a glass
Of lemonade
Our world
As shimmering
Glimmering spirals
Of sheer hope
We shared joy
By the cup fulls
Singing like songbirds
At the dawn of new spring
We danced 'neath
Cobalt blue skies
As trees blown by the wind
As if there would be no tomarrow
We lived
Through the storms
That sometimes rolled in
And we survived
In the end
It was so noted
That we lived
Life to the full
With no uncharted waters left
And no more mountains
To climb
Yes, indeed we had our day

Theodora, This poem is absolutely beautiful...Living life to the full, great love, means we have our day. Stunning.
What a beautiful portrait of life! Nicely penned too. Enjoyed very much.
