'Make me a true-loving Baptist.'
'Loving man' loving everything and everyone every day.
'Make me a brave, ' flowing river, flowing to the sea.
'Make me a captive of my soul, burning clear and brightly.'
Abject pity let me forsake you every day and night.
'You have nothing I desire.'
Especially not greed or jealousy or despair.
Or those 30ft wild curlers you send into the air.
I cradle in flower, in the nectar of kiss.
Sunset to sunrise, sunrise after sunset
Oh, what bliss it is dining on honey every day.
Like a beetle in a magnolia blossom
Dreaming of the moon
Ambushed by a woman's eyes
Harking to catch my very own nostalgic fireflies.
