Lunisolar Ninth Fortnight Of Autumn Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Lunisolar Ninth Fortnight Of Autumn

Rating: 5.0

Today is the day of fragrance,
Lunisolar Ninth Fortnight of Autumn,
The great day of Mahanavami,
On this ninth night we offer prayer
Oh Goddess Nature Mother,
Devotees express their eagerness,
You personify values and ethics!

You are ageless, you are changeless,
And you are eternal and infinite,
That is why your name is, "Nityaa."
You create illusion around us
As you are power of illusion
We call you in name, "Mahamayaa."
You accept our devotion oh mother.

You have broad eyes and vision,
You can see and feel past, present
And future and future of future,
For sustainable development you plan,
That is why your name is, "Vishalakshee."

You are ruler, you are law maker,
All natural laws perfectly work
In your ruling everything is justified,
Law of Force of Gravitation to
Law of Action and Reaction,
Every natural law is regulated by you,
You are eternal empress,
You are ruler above all kings and emperors,
That is why your name is, "Rajeshwaree."

You wear the crescent moon as jewel,
And your name becomes, "Shashi Sekharee."
You are the ruler of this world and universe
And you too rule over other universes,
We call you in name, "Jagadishwaree."

You are supreme Goddess and mother of
All creatures, trees and grass,
Because of your supreme nature,
We pray you in name, "Sarveshwaree."
You are Supreme Goddess and
You are prime among all of them
We worship you in name, "Maheshwree."

You are goddess of equality, love and peace,
You behold equanimity and stability,
Sustainability is reflected in your grace,
You love to live in Silk-Cotton Tree
Which is Sambal tree that beholds your values,
That is why your name is, Samaleswari.
According to your name,
Famous city of Sambalpur is named,
Which is situated in Western part of Odisha State,
You are supreme Goddess of the city,
People of Sambalpur and regions,
They offer first new crop grain to you,
And the intake of new food grain,
It is known as, "Nuakhai Festival."
That is why your name is, "Nabarna-Bhunjanee."

On this evening of Ninth Fortnight of Autumn,
At the holy moment of lunisolar time,
We offer our prayer with deep trust
And you kindly accept our devotion,
Oh Dear Goddess Mother, you feel us,
Destroying demons, violence and obstacles,
You kindly establish healthy and peaceful world!
