Magic Moments After LockDown Three
In The Netherlands, a story-poem of our present history

I walk on grains of stones
the beaches have shrunk
now I have covered this distance very fast
I have forgotten the name of this coast

so where all life is worn out
the size from the coast to the sea also diminished,
Or would this have been due to the strict lockdown?
We've had 3, yes, three lockdowns

the owners of most tradings have given up hope
inflation is flying everywhere,
now the prime minister announces the total opening
of all businesses and hospitality industry,
could it still save them?
The owners of the finest cuisine?

They received their monetary compensation
during the first lockdown,
but after the second and the third?
What I know for sure, is
no salesman gets more money than he has spent

Nothing yet, no compensation at all
and next week they all are permitted to open again
and the guests can enjoy the food and drinks again,
but do they have the money to do it?

do they still have the courage to serve the guests?
Without money no courage,
Mark Rutte (our PM) no longer talks
about monetary compensation, how about that?

We have a brand-new government
but still with our dutiful Prime Minister
These last time so many rainfalls,
yes in winter too and so many blisters

my best friend runs her cute little eatery,
she called me, otherwise, I haven't known,
she can just keep her head above water,
but she has also always been frugal
and her accountant has advised her wisely
but she now has many body complaints
she is a strong and healthy woman
but in any case no holy saint

Our country is now also in a 'Me Too' craze,
first my favourite TV show, The Voice Of Holland,
now Holland has no voice anymore
one and a half million viewers less,
next week the Cabinet will start with their Me Too case,
since Weinstein is no more
the Me Too cases here calling encore-encore
I prefer to watch Beijing 2022 now,
at least you still have skiing, tobogganing,
and other sports in the snow
sadly enough no car racing

Next week our PM will announce
about great shows and entertainings
When they may receive again their guests
Only up to 500 visitors,
if more the head-manager will arrange the rest

are we now immune or do we need only the annual vaccines?

one: our old usual and two: this new vaccine
