Magnets Poem by Kenji McCollum

Magnets

Rating: 5.0

Magnets mean dedication,
Means your going to be there for a while,
in my house magnets mean,
you keep them until they are broken or don't work,
my mother being the keepsake neat freak she is,
has never had to throw a magnet away,
so in a summary they stay on the fridge forever,
they never leave,
I think its probably the only thing I've ever had constant in my life,
my mothers collection of magnets,
some, where from places we have traveled,
others are her favorite comic book character,
Cat woman,
others are literally a my school picture plastered on a magnet,
It sounds odd to be sentimental over magnets but,
he gave me this gorgeous shiny,
stunning New York magnet,
he has family in New York,
of course,
he is the definition of a smart, cool, interesting, gay guy
The magnet to me? ,
Means he isn't going anywhere,
which is the most comforting feeling in the world,
In my opinion it is the most gorgeous magnet I've ever seen,
And of course,
He is offered to take me to New York when he visits,
as His partner.
