Magnets Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Magnets

Rating: 5.0

I couldn't draw you close to me without some special help
The body forced by an external controlling mechanism
The mind crushed by solid resistance from the center of this planet

It's hard to analyze fun
Nearly impossible to pinpoint where the countdown stops and we start enjoying ourselves
I had my own intoxication with this rare occurrence to resist
There must be some natural law to apply to all of this

You can leave but you won't get far
You'll be pulled backwards on your belly
Futilely grabbing at stationary objects to resist
You tried to shackle me with your resistance

Your hard heart was made of metal or something with similar properties
And I'm male, alpha male removed, fighting a battle for something I can't possibly keep
Letting magnets do my dirty work
