An attractive and clever 24-year-old woman
Does begin working as a chambermaid
At a popular and expensive New York hotel
Having aspired to some sort of public service
As a teenager when successfully graduating high school
Knowing she had pride and all-consuming grace.
Wiping down surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes
Changing bedsheets and cleaning bathrooms
Vacuuming the hotel room floors
Dust and grime she does not ignore
Doing a thorough job like all the times before
Every room assigned to her thoroughly done.
Having a young, happy and healthy son
She does wake earlier than the morning sun
Her working day only just begun
Having to commute and also do the school run
Waking up her reluctant 10 year old son
His eyes bleary with deep sleep.
Meeting an attractive and enchanting man
She does fall in love again knowing he is special
Her ex-husband having never tried
Letting down her son even when he cried
But now she and her son have hope
A life in politics for her son a valuable goal and scope.
Her new love interest encouraging
Her to go into hotel management
To manage maids rather than being one
Her new life with hard earned and helpful money
A brand new start without a broken heart
The ex-maid impressing the world with her experience.
