Malayalam 902 ഭാഷാന്തര കവിതകൾ (2) ഇരുട്ടെൻറെ മുന്നിൽ കനക്കുന്നു
ഇരുട്ടെൻറെ മുന്നിൽ കനക്കുന്നു
-സൂസൻ വില്ല്യംസ്
അറിയുന്നു ഞാൻ, ഇതെൻറെ
ജീവിതയാത്ര തന്നന്ത്യപാദം.
ഇരുട്ടെൻറെ മുന്നിൽ കനക്കുന്നു, ഹൃത്തിൻ
ഗുരുത്വം ഞെരിക്കും പദങ്ങൾ നിലയ്ക്കുന്നു
ഭയമാണെനിക്കിനി പിറക്കും ദിനങ്ങളെ.
ഭയക്കുന്നു ഞാൻ.
കറുത്തുള്ള കണ്ണിൽ പെരുക്കും കൊതിയോ-
ടെൻ ജീവൻ കൊത്തിക്കുടിക്കാൻ
വെന്പുന്ന കാകങ്ങളും
കൂർത്തുമൂർത്തുള്ള ദംഷ്ട്രങ്ങളോടെ
വിഴുങ്ങാൻ സ്വത്വങ്ങളാം ഇരകളെത്തേടി-
ച്ചുറ്റും കുറുനരികളും തിങ്ങുമീ
വഴിയരികിൽ വീണു മാഞ്ഞുപോം
എൻ സ്മൃതികളെന്നു
ഭയക്കുന്നു ഞാൻ.
ഭയമാണെനിക്കെൻറെ മുന്നിൽ കനക്കും തമസ്സിനെ.
തിരികെ നടക്കാനാവില്ലെനിക്ക്
ഇവിടെത്തന്നെയൊരു മാത്ര നിൽക്കാൻ പോലുമാവില്ല.
എൻപാദങ്ങളെന്നെയിപ്പാതയിൽ താഴോട്ടേ നയിക്കുന്നു,
അവയ്ക്കൊപ്പം പോയേ തീരൂ, ഇനി ഞാൻ തനിയേ.
അറിയില്ലെനിക്കീ വഴി, യെന്നാലിതിൽ എനിക്കെന്നെ
സ്വയം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു പോകുന്നുവെന്നറിഞ്ഞ്
സംഭീതനാകുന്നു ഞാൻ.
എഴുത്താണെൻ തൊഴിൽ
നഷ്ടപ്പെടാനരുതെനിക്കെൻ മൂലധനം-
വാക്കുകൾ-നാമങ്ങൾ, ക്രിയകൾ,
പേരെച്ചങ്ങൾ, വിനയെച്ചങ്ങൾ,
എഴുത്തിന്നിതിവൃത്തങ്ങൾക്കഴകേകും
സംഘർഷങ്ങൾ.
വാക്കിൻ ഖജനാവൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന-
തറിയുന്നതുണ്ടു ഞാൻ.
എനിക്കു ഭയമാണരിച്ചെത്തുമീ
നിശ്ശൂന്യതയെ.
അറിയാമെനിക്കധികം ദൂരത്തല്ലാ-
തഴിയും ഈ ജന്മബന്ധം; ഒടുങ്ങുമീ യാനം.
പറിഞ്ഞുകീറുമെൻ മനം ശാന്തതയറിയും,
പ്രേമത്തിൻ വെട്ടംപരക്കുമാ നാട്ടിലമരും ഞാനിനി.
പൂർണ്ണനാകും, പരിപൂർണ്ണനാകും ഞാൻ.
i too am living in fear my dear unni. thank u for such messages which u spread through ur poems.. recently i read about the Asifa Banu. the 8 year old who was raped and murdered.. in the 21 centuary we are able to do such a heneous crime . the world calls Rape India......... i cry in me.. thank u dear Unni for touching my soul.. tony

I remember that I had posted a response to this poignant observation. But, now it is not seen. Who has stolen it from my page? Should we report the crime to the Police? HeHr!

'My last journey into darkness' by my dear friend Susan translated into Malayalam by Unnikrishnan, an ardent admirer of her poems. Most beautifully written, Unni. In fact, a undeniable sense of sorrow gets deeply into your system after reading it. I wish Susan could read Malayalam. She would have cried moved with emotion. പ്രേമത്തിൻ വെട്ടംപരക്കുമാ നാട്ടിലമരും ഞാനിനി. പൂർണ്ണനാകും, പരിപൂർണ്ണനാകും ഞാൻ. It would be a sin to leave the page without a full vote for this poem.
