Mama Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Mama

Rating: 5.0

Reflecting in my 'life's mirror'
Finds mama in softly falling Seattle snow
In a steaming cup of hot chocolate
In the sweet winter bird's she loved so;
The crossword's begging to be finished
Or the smell of a newly baked loaf of bread
The silken glimmer on the back of kitty's ear
Or the hungry tummies she lovingly fed;
In the pages of books begging to be turned
Or the gentle whispers of love before drifting off to sleep
In the heart warming kisses placed upon my cheek
All precious memories forever to keep!
