Life's born, grows,
And soon leaves the lair,
Winter slumbers
Whilst in open air,
Bees begin to stir,
Birds on their wings,
Butterflies dance,
Nature's out everywhere,
Birds and beasts get busy
To make new pair,
Fledglings prime wings
O for their first flying.
Man ‘lone seems lost—
In dreams of a warm spring,
Too concerned,
Too careworn
For creature cares,
Singing, nor celebrating,
Caught in his own snares,
Nor witness to ‘now'
O nesting everywhere.
