Manila The City With Big Invisible Banners

Manila the CITY with Invisible big Banners

The girlsloves manila, ewwwwwn
their best dresses, best malls and the best houses
their cosmetic lines, perfumes and handbags, dresses are the
the vogue and the latest in style.

large department stores windows, some small improvished stalls, are hanging clothes lines of current fashion.

their markets lined with fresh fruits, veggies, toys, gadgets and
anything under the torrid sky.

schools for women are making women's dreams come true.

teachers, career working mothers secretaries and finally business managers when the time has matured.

new education entices the new learningprocess, jobs and careers for self supporting women who wants to improve.

the interim provided much more, breakups
romantic liaisons, and new friendshipwith male counterparts,
best friends and prospected lifetime partners.

" my children's. dad and maybe the lover of my lifetime, "

the city-built and painted with an invisible big banner for to be seen and attracted be to,

poor provincial girls and boys with ambitions and dreams of marrying pretty glamorous and rich girls.

nights are spent in planning, the imagining on the future mirror of what's to come.

the sacrifice and hardship of the present, are to be anticipated and accomodated.

the wholesale idea of the good life, material wealth and great future.

Notwithstanding the dirty Manila the overcrowding, callous environment,

could throw you out into the elements.
old, cold, and hungry, crammed into the squatters shanties or living in the streets, begging, pimping and injecting needles.

The sinister side of the tales,
a gangster, a pauper andmistress for an old rich man or nothing.

a disgraced, an addict or killed.
In freak accidents and betrayals.

But byland routessea or air,
great dreams and a big attractions,

They came to the city for a game of chance in life and lottery.
