Many-Bracketed Gaia Poem by Denis Mair

Many-Bracketed Gaia

Rating: 5.0

(in response to Graham Sherring's painting titled 'The World in Black and White')
… … … … …

so many offsetting relationships buoy the earth up

on invisible pylons that are ramified into the void...

so she is shot through with impermanence even as she endures...

trussed up in a trusswork of preconditions...

so many historical collisions and accommodations it must have taken...

to serve Gaia up on the platter of manifestation...

hovered over by possibilities in nesting layers of solicitude...

allowed to formulate and steer the dream of emergence...

now hypotheticals are surrendering over to the actual...

and vanishing as they feed into the vibratory fabric of her flesh...

only to reappear in her historical loom...

because now HER frame is being stretched...

making her the maker, hidden or not

of Her own many-bracketed stories.
