Marvellous Manatees
Bubbly body
Massive flesh
Unshaped physique
More like a whale
But not so like that
Lazy in movement
Slow and steady
Very small fins
More like a fish
But not so like that
Looks so
Like a dangerous monster
But never like that
Dwelling in
Tropical coast waters
Of Western Africa
Peace personified
Totally harmless
Such a massive mass
So surprising
So innocent
Neither teasing
Nor threatening
Never tormenting
Just so friendly
Seems so affectionate
Marvellous creatures
Moving Manatees
Sirenian mammal
So called sea cows
Worth a watch
What they do
Seemingly slow motion
Calm and cool
Happy and contended!
