Meeting Feng Zhu In Chang’an - Poem by Luo Zhihai

★ Meeting Feng Zhu in Chang’an

☆ Poetry by Wei Yingwu (737-792, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

Visitor from the East
Rain of Baling on his clothes
Why did he come, he was asked
For lumber buying ax
Silently flowers are blossoming
Feed its babies at the breast, the lissome swallow
Last year parted and now is spring
How many hairs did our temples have grown?

★ 长安遇冯著

☆ 韦应物 诗

客从东方来
衣上灞陵雨
问客何为来
采山因买斧
冥冥花正开
扬扬燕新乳
昨别今已春
鬓丝生几缕
