Mellow Poem by Lee Boueri

Mellow

Rating: 5.0

Mellow
Hello Mellow
my old friend
You can hang around
while I pretend
your really cheerful
till things mend

Better you than
bitter calls
He tends to build
bigger walls
that often end
with verbal brawls

Hello Mellow
My transient mate
I'd rather you
than that low life hate
he can leave me
in an injured state
a while since I've seen him
but I'm happy to wait

We could end up
with happy or sad
misadventures
with angry or mad
at least with you
things aren't that bad

Come on Mellow
lets just cruise
well play some music
maybe blues
kill some time
and drink some booze
until we get a bita good news.

The beginning reminds me of 'Hello darkness my old friend'-Paul Simon, 'The Sound of Silence'. To be mellow I take to be quite calm and accepting, which fits well with the theme. To cruise and play some music is definitely what I would like to do in this situation.
