Holding on tightly.
And hoping not to ever let go.
Of that which remains loved.
That seems to grow more,
Continuing on.
Although its presence to wish it,
Has long been gone to miss.
Memories to have,
Reminisced.
Suddenly without warning,
Come from one's past to want them back.
As tears unexpected are wiped away,
From eyes once dry trying not to cry.
To then remember those times,
Happily spent.
And knowing them to be,
Not sad at all.
But somehow selfishly,
If there was one wish granted.
Few would wish to ask for money,
Just to have those missed...
To touch and hold again.
