Message - Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Tea stain
on the yellow sticky note

a reminder
to yourself:

Pick up laundry
Finish sculpture
make butter & adukai bean stew
Tell Donal I love him.

I smile
glad I made it on
your list.

It surfaces...years later.

A little peice of
passing time

not designed to survive
the years.

I stroke the words
with a fingertip

enclosing them
in a falling

I must admit, I am envious of the love you two shared...everyone, at some time or another in their lives, should have it. Beautifully done. (Report) Reply
