Middle Of The Night Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Middle Of The Night

A soft tiny hand grasps me
in the middle of the night
A small warm body holds on tight
Nestled on my chest
You whisper in my neck'Mama,
there's a monster in my bed'.
I hold you near and kiss you dear
and make you fall asleep.
And wonder when I can't sleep
and toss and turn on the bed
How am I supposed to quell
the monsters in my head.
