Mummy Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Mummy

Rating: 5.0

Watching someone hold their bundle of joy
close to their heart,
Starts an ache inside me,
that's tearing me apart.
I long for the soft tap of
tiny hands on my cheeks.
Little bright eyes laughing at me.
I have everything in the world
to help me cheer,
Still every night I smother
myself with tears.
Craving something warm
in the tiny bed beside me,
Crying out in the middle of night
for 'Mummy'.
