Few words have I to write tonight
I look 'yond my window and see the moon's rising light
And my dear, I think of you
I see your face as the stars twinkle in the deepening blue
A cool wind is coming up from the west
And as it rustles in the trees I hear your sweet laughter best
Tonight, my love, an orchestra was guided by my hand
But, my love, I heard not a single instrument in the band
I only caught glimpses of your voice so light
Dancing with the violins, giggling with the flutes shimm'ring bright
For all my songs I write for you
And every poem is written for your heart, every word crafted true
I want little more than to sleep now
Because even in my dreams I Always find you somehow
We'll be together again soon, my love
But for now all I can do is wonder at the night skies far above
And ponder why God would bless me so
As to give me a star to love and protect and forever know
I never have truly deserved you
And yet we share a love that is purer and truer than true
You are my flower of light
And tonight, I'm watching a field of fireflowers shine so bright
All I can say is: I love you
purer and truer than true..... magnificent.......an absolute gem....
