Milking The Cow Until Dry

Rating: 4.0

In the barn's embrace, a cow I spy,
Her udders full, the milk runs high.
With gentle hands, I milk with care,
Each drop collected, a treasure rare.

Until the pail's brim, I won't deprive,
Her nourishing gift, I'll never deny,
For the cow's bounty, I'm forever grateful for and aware of the need,
To be milked more.

James, I REALLY liked stanza 1, but the 2nd stanza I'd work on a bit more. Like some cows, some poems beg to be handled MORE! : ) bri but I give 4 stars ****

'The udder is a single mass hanging beneath the animal, consisting of pairs of mammary glands with protruding teats.' Therefore I'd use an apostrophe in f\ront of the 's' in 'udders'. : )
