Mind's Journey Poem by David Lovell

Mind's Journey

I'll play these songs
Within my mind
In darkest night
That no light can find
Sweet melodies hang in the air
As fog both thick and passing quick
The music fades, drifting to the stars
Sleeping and waking swaying with clock-like tick
I'll lie alseep in endless dreams
And in my dreams there will be a ship
To sail to a distant isle, I'll be free
At sunrise, destination in sight, the end of my trip
