Mindlessly Tired Poem by Tex T Sarnie

Mindlessly Tired

Rating: 5.0

I'm just so utterly tired
nothing is staying in my head.
Concentration has deserted me.
I've just got to go to bed.

What you're saying doesn't register
it goes in one ear and out the other.
You're just not making any sense at all
I don't know why you bother.

I'm falling asleep as I am talking to you
I have to close my weary eyes.
Why can't you understand what I am saying,
please, this is good night and goodbye?

Go away! This has gone on for far too long
I cannot take this talking anymore.
Please shut up I've heard enough
I'm going to sleep on the floor.

The torture of telling something to a tired and sleepy mind has so nicely been described in the poem, that everybody who has ever met a similar situation in life will readily relate. The poem gets the top rating of 5 from me, and is highly recommended for selection as the 'Member Poem of the Day'.
