Mindset Of A Common Man Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Pulled down by some unknown fear within
Silent I am without expressing my dislike
Against all the unlawful and unfair happenings around
Spineless I am to question anything outside
Fear rules me top to bottom making me deaf dumb and blind
I make my mind a vast stage where I have my own
Screen, play, direction and here everything
Is expressed by me in a blatant and frank way
Before all those concerned who stand as accused
I summon those responsible for misdeeds against
Public sufferings or of my own without any bias
Left with no stone unturned, I immobilize
The thugs who form the backbone of every powerful
My presence terrorize all those outlaws
My words reverberate in every nook and corner
Like movie made backdrop every big wig and criminal
Undergoes severe punishment till the misdeeds accepted
Throughout the country the proceedings are telecast
Making every one dare not to do heinous crimes
Films might have come highlighting this message
But true to the core it is the mindset undergone
By every socially inclined common man who live unnoticed
