Miracle Worker - Poem by Hezekiah Tiamiyu

Oh I will save you
My people
From the hands of those
Who came calling to you
Like I do now.

I will catch the cabals,
I know them,
My party does,
We just didn't want to,
But now we will.

I will provide 24hours food
And rain will fall every month
Free education for you
Electricity from heaven
1million for all youths.

My umbrella will keep you from rain
My broom will sweep corruption
My corn will feed you all
If I lie...
Let thunder...

Gboa! ! !
...silence! ! ...
...grave silence! ! ...
...then weeping...
That was another cabal I told a friend.

A nice portrayal of the lip service paid by a mob of politicians to the masses. I like the articulation of the poem and the conviction of the poet. A lovely piece bristling with powerful message. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply

This looks like a fine sarcastic parody of a demagogue.
