Misplaced Trust Poem by Belle Wassermeister

Misplaced Trust

Rating: 5.0

There was an old scoundrel named Bri
who I thought was a pretty good guy,
but to his great shame
he called me a name,
and I never could figure out why.

You GUESS you are sorry, Bri? You have to do better than that. How about a sincere, heartfelt apology? And by the way, you were not the least bit funny.

Bri, I know it was hard for you do at least do this much, and after much pondering I NOW accept your humble apology. You are forgiven.

I'm so sorry your feelings were hurt. Limericks are a poetry form that I still struggle with. Yours is quite well wrought.

I'm sorry. Some people can be insensitive at times. Your limerick is very well done.
