Missed Nonsense Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Missed Nonsense

When did it become a necessity,
To start an argument with someone...
About what it is that is missed.
To prioritize and try to convince,
That more nonsense to want this...
Is something one needs.
And on a daily basis to fulfill a life,
Doing the best they can...
Not to make issues others have,
Theirs to accept with expected empathy given.

"I told you just yesterday I understood."

-You did.
But today?
You act as if you could care less.-

"No!
That was 'yesterday' when I was acting."
