Missed You A Lot - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Back home from the baseball game,
the Twins won 7-1,
it was a good game and mostly fun,
I missed you though and I longed
for you to be there to hold.
I missed you a lot and always do
because I so deeply care and love you.
At many points I could feel you near,
I could smell your delicate skin and hair,
it moved me so much that I wouldn't
be able to focus on the game.
I would just give a smile and say
hello Kira, I love you so much
and I miss you tons,
I wish you were here my only one.
I missed you a lot and ache for you now.
I thought of you at the game
and sent you all of the warmth I carry within,
I said I love you sweet dear
and gave a smile to send your way.
I missed you a lot and wish you had been there,
I love you Kira and want to be with you
forever and ever.
