Missing* Poem by Herbert Nehrlich

Missing*

All the members, you hear me hissing?
There's a poet who's surely gone missing.
Mum said go boy, and play
but she's wandered away,
could be scared of me thoughts about kissing.

Well, I'll wait by the paperbark tree
with my liverwurst sandwich and tea.
Hold the mustard, she hates
the Dijon on our dates,
she's crazy as crazy can be.

Cut the mustard, it's got to be done,
without mustard no sandwich is fun.
But I'll give you a riddle
will you be in the middle
as the filling, and pardon my pun.
