Missing In Action. Part 2 “the Big Lie” Poem by Ted Sheridan

Missing In Action. Part 2 “the Big Lie”

Rating: 5.0

It was 1969 and they said everyone
would be present and accounted for; except
the bits and pieces blown apart and scattered
across the country’s war torn paddies and jungle floors.
Those guys were never going to be coming back
Even the healthy ones….

All soldiers are heroes - even the dead, MIA & unstrung. As for singing, didn't get too much of that on return - plenty of curses though. Rgds, Ivan
